Learn to Knit

Get ready to knit! If you have never tried knitting or need a refresher on the very basic concepts this class is for you. 

We will learn together to cast on to set up our stitches on the needle, do the two basic stitches (knit and purl), bind off our stitches to secure them, weave in loose ends with a darning needle and troubleshoot some common errors that new knitters face.

This two part class gives you time to learn the basics, practice at home, and come back ready to start a first project with guidance in the second class. We will talk in depth about students' goals and good starter project ideas!

Materials required:

 - 1 ball of smooth, light colored bulky weight yarn 

- Your choice of circular or straight needles in size US 10 (6mm) or similar size
